Ding Dong the Witch is Dead

....but there is still her sister.

Words on the matter from our President contained in the article I have linked:

"Activist judges and local officials in some parts of the country are not letting up in their efforts to redefine marriage for the rest of America and neither should defenders of traditional marriage flag in their efforts."

Does this man ever think before he speaks? Nobody is attempting to redefine marriage for the rest of America, or him. They just want the right to marry for themselves and to not have the government, or right-wing America, define marriage for them.

Stay tuned for more....

Robbie I guess I am in a tough spot at times being a Democrat with very open opinions living here in the South.  I have nothing against gay marriages, I have often said straights can learn alot about relationships from Gay Couples.  That I do believe 100% inmy heart.  john

"I had a choice to make.  Do I take the word of a madman, or do I take the steps that needed to be taken to keep America secure.  I tell you, folks, when faced with that kind of choice, I'll take the security of America every single time..."  Or something like that.

I heard sound bites from two Bush stump speeches given at two different locations in two days.  The quotes were almost exactly the same, word for word (we know an original intelligent word has never sprung forth from his lips, but his speech writers could perhaps at least write a new speech for each occasion...)  But this is how he excuses making a cluster-fuck out of Iraq on the basis of "faulty intelligence."  I'm absolutely positive Bill Clinton would not have gotten away with that kind of bullshit.  Pardon my language.  You may delete my comment if you want to be in the running for the Editor's top five...  Lisa  :-]

Grrr... well, the more he speaks, the more fence-hoppers we can get.  I swear, he gets dumber and dumber...and some of his little followers are catching on.  Sick little cult he's got going on in 'our' name.  Again...grrrrrr!!!

It's nice that some aol-journalers are staying in tuned to this, because otherwise I would have no clue. Unfortunately. but, that's just me.  Maybe his reasons for saying "redefine" were based on the fact that the old "borders" of marriage are changing.  does that make sense?   I don't know. That's why  I stay out of politics, it's just confuses me. :P  thanks for link!
take care.

The man is so out of touch, he's on another planet.

You said it!

Sigh, I don't even listen to the man anymore, although I should because I need a good laugh now and again!  What an ignorant little man.
Hugs and love, Lisa

With every spoken word, I find I loathe him
even more.
Thanks for the link Robbie!

I'm staying tuned ... from my ever-present position here on the fence :-) Just kidding. I think couples should have the right to love and marry whomever they please. Men with men, women with women, Republicans with aliens. Oops. Did I say that? Sorry. Let me jump back on the fence real quick like.

Does this man ever think before he speaks?<~~ I would think, not. It's too scary to imagine that he does! God, help us!

Good question and the most obvious answer is that Bush lacks the proper neural-vocal interface.. the one that makes your brain turn ON before the mouth begins to flap!  ¤Holly

The key term here is "activist judge" How activist they are depends on whose ox is being gored.

Now Robbie. You know very well that it takes all his mental energy just to stand upright. You can't expect him to talk and think at the same time. Honestly, I had no idea a C student was capable of independent thought at all. You're giving him far more credit than I do in that respect. :--)

But enough of that. You're now, officially, a nominee in the People's Choice Awards! Congrats baby! And good luck! :-)

I don't know why they've got their underwear in a bunch about this.  It's all false bravado, methinks.  It's never going to pass, and they know it.  Bannign gay marriage is unconstitutional because it's discriminatory and an amendment to change that will not pass.  They're just riling up the faithful.

Activist judges?  Ha, what about that judge what's-his-name who is going around the country parading the Ten Commandments monument that was taken out of the judicial building in his state?  No one is calling him an "activist" judge when he clearly should have known better.

Ummm.... does the man ever think, period???
