A rose by any other name.... is a butterfly.

I did an audio entry for these pictures but it is slow to appear here in my journal. I need to get ready for work. If the audio doesn't appear some time today. I will add a written explanation when I get home tonight from my classes.

Update: Sorry for the cryptic entry. I was afraid if the audio appeared later you would not understand it since it referred to these pics and I didn't have time to write out an explanation. So, instead of not understanding the audio, I left you bewildered with these pics. Oh well!  I actually figured no one would comment and I could delete this and start over again.

When I got home tonight, I tried to create an audio entry in my test journal to see if I could create an audio file and copy it to an old entry since it creates a file in your FTP space. Obviously, I failed at my attempt. It doesn't use anything remotely similar to the add pic code and I don't have the time to figure out how it could be accomplished.  I'm sure it can but it's not THAT important to me. Sorry!

Now, to explain: The next question in the que was from Slomo. She asked: "Have you ever been arrested? And, if so, for what?"  I know what you're thinking. OMG! She got that tattoo in prison! No, silly. I've mentioned this tat on at least two separate occasions here. So, please try to think a little better of me than THAT.  However, I am wondering why Slo thinks to ask me a question such as that! LOL!

Slo's question had a stipulation that she could ask another question, if my answer was no. Since to answer her question would have been, all of two words: "Um - No???" I figured I'd answer a question that Slo asked on an earlier journal entry that I didn't get a chance to answer. And that question was: "What's your tattoo of?"

For those who thought this was a recent addition to the Robbie bod, um...No. I've had it for 18 years now. It looked much nicer years ago. The ink, especially the yellow, has faded, and the outline has blurred considerably. Bummer! I actually got this particular image because of the butterfly. I had a thing for butterflies back then, not so much so now. However, the place I went to didn't have any of just a butterfly that I liked. And, to explain why I chose my shoulder was dual-fold. I thought it would look sexy there and because just about any place else would mean baring my privates to some strange guy. At the age of 18, I was way too conscientious to do that, especially after my friend who got one on her butt that weekend told me how he kept complementing her on what a nice arse she had. Ewwwww...

Oh, and I bought a digital camera this weekend. How bad am I? Teeheehee

I really don't like the Idea of tatoos but since you chose to do it, you picked out a nice one. A flower for a flower. It looks good. Hugs Lanny

ooo okay now it all makes sense :) I think you liked the idea of leaving us hanging, lol.  I've often thought of getting a small tattoo but then realize I don't like pain so I chicken out.
You will love your digital camera!

Intrigued now.. that's the best part of tattoos is hearing the story behind their origins!  ¤Holly

Cool.  Do you have any regrets about this tatoo?

You are going to be dangerous with a digital!

That is a pretty tattoo and a nice place to put it.  I think it's the sexiest part of the body to put one.  The other sexy place I think is at the base of the spine; a friend of mine has one right there and it plays peek-a-boo whenever she wears jeans, lol.

You said it's faded, will you ever have it refreshed?  Will you get another one, given the chance?  What kind will you get if ever?  Am I asking too many questions? lol

Btw, I'm still catching up on journal reads after the whole Top Five fiasco, but I will catch up with you woman, even if it kills me. I'll read the rest of your entries, as soon as I get a chance.  I want to catch up with you!  =P

LOL... OK.. I'm sorry for the arrest question.  It was worth a shot!  Hey, I doubt very many people would have believed you were once in the army.  So why not jail???  LOL  I'd forgotten all about my previous question regarding your tattoo.  So here it is. And it's lovely!  :)

MLRAMINIAK- LISA: I got this tattoo so long ago that I don't even remember the pain. I do know it didn't make me cry. I'm a baby when it comes to needles so it
couln't have been that bad. There was a group of us there and one of the
guys stood there and told me jokes the entire time. I finally told him to
shut up though because I like to go into a meditative state when I am in
pain. You know, take my mind somewhere else.

LANNY: I didn't always like tats either. I think some people go overboard
sometimes with it but I figure to each his own. Thanks for the compliment!

VINCE: Yup!

KAREN: You assumed right! And, even a recent pic at that! The one in my side
bar is almost a year old. I so rarely step in front of the camera. It was a
booger trying to take a pic of myself though. And to answer your question about
regrets: I have had regrets off and on since I got it. My most recent stems from
the fact that I can't have exposed tats at work. So...in the summer no sleeveless
blouses for me.

SCREMO: Not sure if the story was good but there's some that I have left
out. ;-p

LISBNJVI-LISA: Thanks! I wish they were freckles. They're moles - the flat
kind. I think it's the Romanian in me that makes me have so many of those
darn things. They drive me crazy! I've actually had six of them that I found
absolutely discusting removed.

JOHN: Crazy Army days memorabilia!

MIA: Sorry for the no audio and I don't think I made it back here
before your bedtime either.

DEROSSET-MARY: Now you need to tell us the story about your eyebrow
ring. Or, have you already?

GGAL: Yup, have them leave wondering - that's me. Nah! I'm just
extremely impatient when it comes to technical difficulties. I
haven't had much time to play with my camera yet but look forward
to the playtime it will give me.

HOLLY: Yeah, I think the stories can be pretty interesting too. The
whys as to what someone chooses. I still can't understand those who
cover their entire bodies though, like you talked about in your entry
that time. It's just overboard to me and I wonder if the person has
some kind of self-loathing of themselves to completely cover themselves,
especially their faces.

FREEEP: Nope never been in jail ;-p Yeah, I've had the tatto so long
that I actually forget about it sometimes. It's become part of who
I am.

BABYSHARK: There's nothing wrong with you! I think sometimes conversations
just evolve and that's how my journal is an evolving story of me. It's okay
if you can't think of anything. I feel a little frustrated with the audio
entries since the last mishap so I'll probably skip this week anyhow.
And, yes, I do hope to add more of my own pics once I get a hang of things.

ALPHAWOMAN - MARY: As if I'm not dangerous enough! LOL

MUSE: I understand the getting behind and playing catch up. Some of my
Bloglines subscriptions are showing me 20+ entries behind. I will be
reading like a maniac this weekend. Now for those questions: I doubt I'll
ever get it refreshed, unless it begins to look much worse. I've actually
wanted to get a Scorpion on my ankle but where I work I can't have
exposed tats so....not sure that will ever happen. I have considered get one
on the small of my back - well actually just a bit lower ;-) But, it's just
a thought. I have so many other things that I want to buy first - like a new
car, furniture for my apartment and well of course clothes! :-)

UBERDUDE: If getting a tat is what makes someone a great American then
there are a lot of us running around L.A. ;-)

SLO: No offense taken about the question. Shoot you never do know unless you
ask - huh? But, I wouldn't equate the Army with jail. Well...on second
thought. ;-p
