Sweet Joy U Happy Birthday

Sweet Joy U Happy Birthday
Originally uploaded by krobbie67

I made this last night in a quick frenzy for a guy at work whose birthday is fast approaching. He's always offered me positive encouragement on my cardmaking so I thought I'd make him a card for everyone to sign instead of the generic Hallmark, from the gang bravado that we usually use.

One of the marketing people saw my card and asked me to make a selection for the company to purchase so they can send out to clients and employees and what-not by the executives!!! Woohoo!! They send out A LOT of cards too. This might just be an awesome door-opening opportunity. And, if not, it will at least be motivation for me to get busy working on my creative stuff because I have done didley squat lately.

Oh shoot! I hope 'the guy' doesn't have access to my Flickr or Blog. I don't think I ever gave him the link though. Anymore I just operate under the assumption that anyone and everyone reads my blog though. Honey! Nothing's a secret online even if you think you're smart and use a completely fake name and profile. If somebody wants to find you out, they will. Uh huh!

Cool Blogging Side Note: Blogging directly from FlickR rocks! It was so easy and the formatting seems to work well. The only downside I noticed was there isn't a spellcheck or an html edit feature. You have to post the entry then come into Blogger to edit for any of those functions. Okay, another downside is once I entered the editing it changed the formatting and that will take more figuring out than I might be willing to do. Hmmm...

Very cool that your execs recognized your talent. It should be great to associate something personal and creatively satisfying with WORK...

Holy crap, Batgirl! Do you know what this means? You've fufilled the dream of every aspiring artist ~ you've taken what you love to do and actually sold! And not just sold; you've sold big, too. Genius. This is seriously wonderful. You must be so happy right now; I know I am. Good things will come of this, you'll see. :)

I secretly wish someone would just look at me and say...hey, you look creative, here is a bunch of money to do whatever you want to persue in life. yeah..whatever. to easy.

But, I am very glad that you are being recognized for your creative side. It's such a strong one, I'm surprised it took this long. but, good things always seem to take the longest. hmm.

Nice card. Seriously.
Yeah, the only way to stay secret is don't write it on-line.

LOVE the card!! We can't wait to hear what happens with the set you create--I'm sure they will be REAL, expressive, and delightful. Good luck!

Woot Woot. I'm making one of those cards right now. Thanks for the ideal. Of course I will not sell it or try. It will be for me and the little one. What about two cupcakes. Or maybe three......or maybe 44. LMAO!
