What Dreams May Come

What was that movie? Snakes on planes or some such idiocy. I didn't go see it because I hate snakes. They absolutely creep me out with their slithery, slimey, poisonous selves.

A friend sent me an email a couple of days ago about a lady bringing home a potted plant from the store that had baby copperheads in the bottom of it. I guess it has been on my mind ever since because last night I had a dream that a big fat beefy snake like a boa constrictor had my fist in its mouth. Just as I began to freak out in my dream, I woke up. My hand was in a tight fist and sore. The creepiness of it has stuck with me all day. I'm kind of afraid to go to sleep tonight.

Why couldn't she have sent me an email about this snake? I don't mind waking up laughing. I don't think I'll be able to buy another plant again until I verify the validity of the story. How big are snake eggs? They would have gotten squashed. Don't you think? Of course, now I just read in the boa link that boas don't lay eggs, they give birth to snakes. Great!

Thanks for that, Robbie...not! I hate snakes, too! You might read in one of my posts of last week about the large carpet snake (of the python family, as are the Boa Constrictors) which was on my roof! Arrrrrggggh!

Hey Robbie, did you check snopes.com or truthorfiction.com?? that's where I go when trying to find out if a story is true or not. I'm leaving you my current journal link.. Have a great day.. try not to worry to much about the snakes.. I hate them too!! lisa

Oh my! I remember years ago, before the internet even, hearing that same story -- only, the eggs were tarantulas or black widows. I actually think it was in the newspaper or something. Freaked me out. I was a kid.

Your "snakes on a plane" reference reminds me to make a copy of the new downloads I got from Jason Mraz.

You know how I feel about the wretched things ~ welcome to my nightmare! ;D As far as I'm concerned, my much loathed patio lizards are just snakes with feet and a bad attitude which, to me, are somehow even creepier. ;P

And now I can't even put my houseplants outside for a little R&R again. Eewww...
