Life's Little Ironies

Last Sunday, I went to get in my car to take it to be washed and a neighborhood cat had left a "treat" for me on my convertible top.

Can't quite see it? Never fear! I took a close-up shot:

Yup! That be cat shit. Nice huh? All this week I've been fearful that I would come down to find more on my car. A girl at work told me that she heard that cats don't like lavender or citrus scents. I sprayed down the top on the outside and inside and so far it's working. I don't want to do anything to hurt the cat. Who I'd like to hurt is my neighbor who parks her car two down from mine. I surmise that she has an oil leak because she dumped what appears to be half of a bag of kitty litter in her parking space. It's been there a while and the neighborhood cats have used it as their outdoor facilities. She hasn't cleaned it up. If my memories from prior feline companionship serve me well, cats don't like a dirty litter box and they'll let you know by performing spiteful dumps in places they think will get their point across. This point was well taken but they're meowing up the wrong tree.

Another funny thing to happen this past week, occurred when I was driving home one night. I saw what appeared to be a relatively well groomed man dancing around on the corner of Sunset and Crescent Heights in West Hollywood while holding a cut out of the top of a pizza box. How did I know it was specifically a pizza box? It said "pizza." But, it was one of those generic boxes not a Pizza Hut or Dominoes type box. I started laughing and thought to myself the dude must be drunk and not realize that his "Will Work for Food" sign was facing the wrong way. I lost sight of him when a truck pulled into my line of view. When the light turned green and traffic began moving forward, I caught a glimpse of the guy again. He had turned his sign around. It now read: "I need beer." I laughed my ass off as I headed on home. I guess my first assumption wasn't far from the truth.

LOL about the pizza box guy.

As for the mess on the car...are you sure it was poop? Without being able to analyze the olfactory factor, it looks more like puke to me. And believe me, I have plenty of experience with...things that come out of either end of a cat. If it is poop, that little f***er is a hell of a slob, isn't he?

Another cat owner chimes in...looks like cat barf. Cat poo is usually very dark brown. Almost black. That looks like the kitty over indulged on cat chow and also had a hairball. I see that all the friggin time in my house. My poor carpets. I have a cat that I SWEAR is bullemic.

The cat would be auditioning for first violin strings in the local symphony if s/he'd done that to MY car roof...

hahaha! Need a beer boy! Truth in advertising ~ I love it.

I don't know about that scat ~ that's an awful big cat. Maybe it's coyote, or bear ~ hey, if a bear shits on a convertible in LA, does it make a sound? No wait, that's wrong.

What is the sound of one...no, that's not it.

Do bears shit in the burbs? That's the one I'm looking for.

I don't know how they feel about lavender.

Looks a bit like cat yack. Either way (or end) I'd say kitty must have eaten something that did not sit well.

Get yourself a roof sized piece of card board if kitty starts making this kind of deposit on a regular basis.

OMG EWWWW! I am not a big cat fan, so if some cat starts looking at the new Mini here, I might just have to let my dog have a fuzzy little snack.
