Toshiba Rocks! AOL is Another Story.

Toshiba Rocks! I placed my order yesterday and requested Priority Mail. It said that it took 24 to 48 hours during business hours to process. I received my adapter today!! Woohoo!! Of course, it sucks that the reason I was able to sign for it is because I have been home sick today and yesterday.

AOL is another story! This is a screen capture from Hometown that I did just a few minutes ago. My journal is still not showing up there and neither is my other journal. My other journal is where I kept all my journal links until I set them up recently as a blogroll through Bloglines. If you click on the link in my sidebar titled "Journals~Webblogs,"  it will take you to the list from Bloglines. But, I still keep links to websites and what-not in my other AOL journal. I don't have them saved anywhere else so I would hate to lose it. And, I would be absolutely irrate if I lost this journal.

My FTP space still says my quota is 0 (-1 free). So, you're probably wondering how I got this picture in here. I uploaded it to another screenname's FTP space which says I have a gazillion bytes available. Well, maybe not a gazillion but it's saying what it's supposed to. I emailed FTPMaster@aol.com yesterday but as of a few moments ago the email has not been read.

So, I ask..... Who am I supposed to turn to for stuff like this? I've never had a problem with my journal before so I don't even know what I'm supposed to do.

Help!

Csandhollow had the same FTP message come up for her this morning.  I don't have a clue what's going on!

if you do a search there are a few servers out there that will let you up load your files to share on the web for free..

is one I have found but not used too often.. it is my back up plan for when and if my FTP space on all my screen names get used up.

There seems to be all sorts of odd problems going on.

I just went through tech support live to see if that got me anywhere.  They're going to pass the problem on.

Sometimes FTP space can be a real problem. A few weeks ago my counter was over 5 thousand when it reset itself. I am so annoyed and wrote numerous times, never getting an answer.

This is scary!!! I would hate to lose my journal... especially since sometimes, I have had a TOS violation, due to a virus that has gotten ahold of my addresess in my book and sent out mass mailings.. of course, it wasn't my fault... it hasn't happened in a while..but still I would hate to lose everything.... I've seen the (-1 free) error before and it's sign of a temporary glitch. Your FTP space should return to normal after a few days. AOL does upgrades and maintenance to the FTP servers, although they don't inform users of the downtimes. Bit of discussion on this on the FTP message board:

I wish I could help...but I'm computer illiterate.  Good grief, what a pain in the butt!  Hope you figure it out soon.
