I'm back!!!

Yes, I am back. I arrived last night with no fanfare or flags waving, just tired and discombobulated due to time changes and very little sleep the last two weeks. I'd say I'm safe and sound but if this cat had its way it wouldn't be the case.

This is my brother's cat, Tabby, and it is the most evil animal on the planet. The moment I walked in the door of my brother Chris' house, the cat hissed and tried to swat me with its paws. I'm not one for declawing of animals but this is one that I am grateful is declawed. I only wish I could have been there to enjoy it too. Before you think I'm too cruel, understand that I am not talking about mild manner hisses. These were teeth baring ready to take a chunk of arm hisses. I tried to capture it on film but my camera just wasn't fast enough. I did everything I could to get the cat to see things a different way. I tried playing dominant cat by hissing back and staring in its eyes. I tried playing sweet, by purring and talking nicely. I even tried ignoring the cat. Nothing worked!

Tabby was constantly terrorizing me throughout my stay. It even plotted surprise attacks that left me fearing for my life and sleeping with my door closed and LOCKED! One time, I was sitting at the kitchen table downloading pictures to my computer and it jumped up grabbed my arm with its paws and started hissing madly at me. Another time, I was napping in the familyroom only to be swatted in the face and to wake to it sitting there hissing in the prone position for another attack. Even Nemo isn't safe from this cat, Tabby's favorite place to drink water is the fish tank!

I'm sure many are anxious to hear stories of my confluence with Robin and Mumsy. They are forth coming. I just need to figure out how to upload video to my ftp space. This is one home video that shouldn't be missed. After all, how often do you get to see a grown woman under the age of 80 pee her pants? :-D

Welcome back Robbie and don't fear the cat, most of them just take a good swat accross the room to end the attitude hahaha  Now I'll catch heck for that one! Oh well, glad you are home safe and sound. Missed ya, Hugs Lanny

Glad you are back safe and sound, hopefully enjoying the trip despite the cat.  lol  Cats are odd and have minds of their own, most definitely!

LOL!  Oh, cats can be soooo fun.  ::smirk::  Actually, I've only met ONE cat in my life that I got along with.  It belonged to my boss and it got run over in the road, which made me cry. :(  I love cats and think they're naturally beautiful - I'd probably even choose a cat over a dog, if I could find a cat that liked me.  But most of them are just too sneaky and MEAN.  LOL  My grandma's old cat used to pounce on you as you slept!  Or it would sit outside the kitchen window, so all you saw was it's eyes at night, and it would scare the mess out of you.  If you sat in its "special chair", it would climb under the chair and scratch your ankles.  Grrr.  LOL

OHHH.. And so glad to see you back!!!!  We missed you!  :D

Really enjoyed reading your blog.  I can relate on the cat.  I hope to watch my newest cat get declawed soon and intend to celebrate the event each year.  Its so bad that I actually sleep threw the clawing and wake up with scratches!

Welcome home!  We've missed you.  Don't EVER leave again. :P  Great pics of the evil Tabby.  You crack me up.  I don't know if I would've been able to sleep there.  I'm more afraid of mean cats than I am of mean dogs.  Can't wait to see the video.  Very cool.  Looking forward to your stories of confluence. :)

Holy Crap!  Cats give me the heebie jeebies.  I was just talking to Pamela (His1Desire) the other day about the cats I used to have.  One of them was a complete monster, he'd sit on the cabinets at night and wait until you walked by, drowsy or drunk...(I was much younger) and then jump on your head.  Mean, Mean critter.  Wouldn't hurt one to save my life, but cats like this one give me the creeps!

So glad you're back!  I missed you!  Can't wait to hear how your visit with Robin and Mumsy went.  ~Peachy

lol wow that cat has some issues! Great pics :)

Be kind, Robbie. We were friends, once. If all I did was pee my pants on video, how bad could that be, right? That's the trouble with performance art!

Welcome home. Your CD's in the mail.

Woah! Angry cat! That one sure sounds territorial, for sure! My two are very sweet and gentle. :-)

You seem to be a cat lover......but this one doesn't like you, wonder why? Jealousy?

Ya know...I like kitties, but I think this one might have been an exception.  Geesh?  Does it eat raw meat?

Looking forward to reading all about your adventures.  ::::hint:::::

Robbie: I'm a total cat person, but I'm sitting here laughing out loud at your pics, You caught Evil Kitty perfectly.  Does your brother treat the cat well?  My cats are mischievous when they want attention, but mellow otherwise.  Maybe this poor kitty just needs more attention, poor guy!  Glad you're back, Albert

Apparently I left my comment in invisible ink a while ago.  the pic of the cat with the tongue out just cracked me up.  Yeah, cats think they don't need us.  And many do not.  But they thrive on Taco Dip.
I'm so glad you are home safe and unscathed from your run-ins with felines and floaters.
I'm going to take it out on that cat if your trips to Illinois get fewer, though.

Bring on the video!

Reaching up Hugs,
~~Mumsy

Except for the attitude, Tabby is the spittin' image of our Lucky. I think Lucky is a little broader across the beam. She's pretty even tempered but very stubborn. If we've been gone a lot during the day she disappears when it's time to go to bed (bed is the back enclosed deck) and doesn't come out until she's darn good and ready. Also has the fastest back in the West. You do not pick up this girl one handed!
