Yikes!

I realized this morning with all this traffic and attention, people are going to expect me to update. To have something funny, witty, or touching to share. Talk about pressure!

I was going to write what I thought was a funny observation about people that I noticed while hanging around the docks yesterday. I started but I just couldn't get the words out. It sounded stupid, even contrived. And, it no longer seemed all that funny. I think this is what "they" call stage fright. Who are "they?" Have you wondered that? I do all the time. I fight "them." I'm a rebel like that. But, yikes, what about this deer in the headlights gaze I have as I stare at my screen.

So, I decided to turn to my book for answers. This is what it said:

"Do not enter where too much is anticipated." ~ Baltasar Gracian

Hopefully, this will pass. I get off early today. Yeah! Maybe, I'll finally write some of the entries I've promised from long ago. There's the hairball entry, the women of Afghan, my friend John, the places that I've lived series. Shoot I've hardly even mentioned my other brothers. I have two more. Maybe I should write about them. But, for now I just won't enter. Too much anticipation has me frozen at my keyboard and well it's time to get ready for work.

I love that picture.  I don't think you should worry about posting entries if it makes you feel like you're pressured.  Write when you feel like it, when it comes naturally.  That's always the best way.

It's your journal, dont feel presure.  You have written what you pleased for this long, dont stop now because of a little bit of attention.  You wouldnt of been highlighted if the Editors didnt think you was worthy of a good read.  Or would they? lol I am not sure how it works. : D

Much Love,
Mary

Robbie - No pressure.  Be yourself.  That's how you got here in the first place.  "That book" seems to give you/us exactly what we need, at the perfect time.   Right on. :P  I think you're right, that is what "they" call stage fright.  In this instance though, "they" is "me" - lol  xo

All I can say is, thank goodness I'm not alone. Phew. What a sigh of relief to read this. My mind is as frozen as the North Pole.

Hey, write whatever you want, whenever you want.  Now, you got me frozen on what to say.  -=(

I'm just going to read other people's journals now.  -=)

Robbie....Just remember to breathe sweetie!   Your journal is great,  and now others know it.  Just keep writing the same way you have been, and honey, you wont go wrong.  Congratulations on such an honor.

You are now feeling my pain!!!!  I am just now starting to feel like I am in the writing groove again, so I can honestly say, this too, shall pass.  I have tried to go back to how I used to write, try to forget about the traffic, just me and the journal.  Let the chips fall where they may.  There is a reason you are a top 5-- you are a gifted writer, duh!!!  Kristi

If you took the picture with the ink pen on the table, I'm impressed! Quit creative and tells a lot about you; if you shot it. If not, good pic anyway. I stared at it for over 20 minutes. Crazy huh!

Robbie hon, you're worried too much. And for what? The opinions of strangers? Do what the hell  you wanna do. It's your journal! And have I said this before? You really have some kick-ass images in your journal. I don't think enough credit goes to you for that.

Hon, we are your friends, not strangers..didn't we suffer with you thru your tests and come back when they were over?  ..just drop us a line when you can.  LUVU ~Barbara

That picture is hilarious!

And Robbie....everything you write is interesting and witty.  Don't short-change yourself.  You're very talented.

Just be your normal witty, thoughtful, wisecracking self, lol.  Stage fright lasts for just a millisecond, you'll be a pro  with all the attention in no time.  =P

You have two other brothers?!  Who woulda thought?!
