Morning Ramblings

Aaaack!! I slept later this morning than I like to. I'm beginning to feel a little better. But, I'm still tired. I went to the doctor yesterday. She gave me some antibiotics and an inhaler. She thinks I have a sinus infection. However, like most medical care these days it's a hit or miss diagnosis until something works. If the antibiotics don't work in about a week or so, she said to call her.

There's been a lot of people weighing in on the de-throning of Amused from the Editor's Pick list. I was planning on doing an entry this morning regarding my two cents on the matter. I don't have time now and I think the moment has passed. So, like the fat cat above, I'll just chill. I think I've left a sprinkling of comments around that put enough of my perspective out there.

I had a nice little pick me up yesterday. I received my Commencement Handbook in the mail. Woohoo!!! Graduation is now only a little over a month away. Yippee!!! I also received approval from all of the necessary authorities at work to do the Independent Study. I just need to contact my professor and see what we do from here. If not, I'll take a summer class about Real Estate probably.

I downloaded some updates for my computer the other day. Now, my fricken printer/scanner is not communicating with my computer again. I'm really not liking XP. It is one tempermental OS! I have an entry I want to do. But, I wanted to scan some photos. Now, who knows when I'll get the bugs worked out. It looks like Kinkos will be seeing alot of me until school is done too. I can't even print. Dang gone it! And, yes I really do use masked vulgarities in my every day speech. [teeheehee - I just had to add a little piss-ass comment didn't I?]

Well, gotta run....I should be in the shower already.

I had a comment on the picture, but I'll save it for when you feel better. :)

Hope you get to feeling better soon, and congratulations on the upcoming graduation. Doesn't it feel good to see it in print?

I think the thing that confuses me the most is that I use profanity (unmasked) in my journal on a regular basis and no one has ever said anything to me.  I wonder what the deal was there?  I think they just disqualified about 2/3 of the journal population if that's one of the criteria...

Love the pic! Congrats on your upcoming graduation :)

Glad to hear you're finally feeling better.  I've been way behind on happenings in AOL-J Land.  I only found out yesterday about Mara.  Like you, I think I'll just chill about the whole matter.  I think Muse handled things very well.

I left some comments on a few of your older entries.  Go take a peek!  =)

Yeah, hit or miss with the diagnosis. Woohoo - Let's hear it for our medical community! That's why they get paid the BIG BUCKS!  :P

Lots of silence today in response to the "Amused Scandal" - I love our community.

Did you get a load of this week's top picks?  They really can pick 'em huh?  Makes it all seem worthwhile.  I mean, #1 this week has ONE ENTRY in the journal.  Ahhhh, the editors are showing their true colors.

Honestly, they're missing out on some great journalism because they're a bunch of big fraidy-cats [how's THAT for masked vulgarity!]

What's up with the aol journal pics were they stupid or what?  Lame...Everyone on the mountain has what you have....it's really awful   back to the journals I'm confused who was in charge this week?

The Picture it TOO CUTE!!!
OMGosh!!! You are so right about the 'hit or miss' diagnosis. We just had to change doctor's due to "insurance' reasons...and I was telling the Doctor what he needed to do for my kid (because he was looking confused). He just said...Oh, yeah, you are right.... Well, WE no longer go to this Dr. -- Anyway, Hope this treatment works...It is miserable trying to function when you feel so bad.
Graduation is NEAR!!!! I can FEEL your excitement.!!!!! WooHOO!!!! -- You talked about Independent Study in an earlier entry. I am glad that it is working out for you.
OH I HATE when MY COMPUTER does that!!!! Anytime I try to do ANYTHING to my computer it is a Major undertaking. I wish I was more computer minded. Hope your Printer/scanner start communicating again soon.

JLREYNOLDS: It’s feeling more like it’s surreal. But…woohoo!!!

KATE: :::sigh::: I hate doctors. They didn’t even run blood tests on me or anything. I just told her what I thought it was and she gave me an antibiotic. It’s frustrating!

KATHLEEN: Your Aunt has a kickin name! ;-) But, you’re not getting my bra! I’m over the hill and my chi-chi’s got left behind. I need my bra. ;-)

DEBIJANSSEN: Stupid, indeed! I think they let some marketing intern have his or her way and well it flopped!

FREEE: It really is a great community. I don’t think we would have this elsewhere and it’s a shame that the very source of that community has tarnished it in such a worthless way. Hopefully, we can all shake this off and go about our business.

INDIGO: Thanks and I’ll YIPPEEE with you!!!

BRIDGETT: Sometimes being out of the loop can be a good thing. This whole thing has been quite exhausting to my journaling psyche and, hon, you need to rest not stress over AOL stupidness.

GGAL: Thanks! It’s from a stock photo CD that I use.

KAREN: It definitely is a disqualifying factor. All I can say is that this will only hurt them not help their cause.

SISTERCDR: It still seems a bit unreal. It’s also kind of strange because I feel like a degree is made out to be some kind of license to life and well I’ve been doing that so what is it really for me?

REMO: Still waiting! Ah, but maybe it’s because I’m still not quite up to par.

VINCE: Thanks! I’m getting serious senioritis though. I’m having trouble staying on track with my studies.

GREGG: Are you serious about XP? I am so sick of all the fricken downloads and what not. The only thing I find redeeming is the System Restore. Love ya!
