Sunday Morning Rant

:::: stomping feet:::: I hate the blasted character limits. If the below entry makes no sense, it's because I had to butcher to death what I originally wrote to make it fit within the 2500 limit. The same thing happened when I was doing the entry regarding Trish's CD. UGGG ::::stomping feet somemore:::::

It is infuriating, isn't it? But at the same time, I find it sharpens my writing skills.

Character limits and hemorrhoids go hand in hand with me. They both can be a pain in the ass.

I can't agree with you more. I remember watching a "family show" once with my daughter when she was around 5 and they kept saying the word "virgin" over and over again, and she, being the smarty pants that she was wanted to know what a virgin was. I believe there's a time and a place for everything--we don't need it shoved in our faces 24/7.

Hold on a few more weeks, they're beta testing the new journal layout as we write. I've looked at the character limits as a form of discipline, it's forced me to be more concise. Of course certain entries beg for more space, and I'll reserve those for when we have 25k limits, which is hopefully soon!

Dear heart, until they raise the character limit just do what I do: add as much as you can of your entry in the form of a background that matches your journal with the text layed over the top of it. No one can tell the difference & it works out GREAT! :-)

I'm looking forward to the end or at most a larger limit. Hugs Lanny

??? where do you find out about all these new things with AOL journals? I have been reading about the private journal thing, and the more character limit in journals, but I don't know where you get this information. Where do I look to keep up on the new things?
Hope that you got to get some Play time in.

I haven't read the entry below yet, but I did read Trish's entry you did..it was fabulous. so, maybe your being to hard on yourself.. BUT, i do understand those darn character limits. some journalers have said there is a way around it, but I don't think I have the program to do that...anyway...I am going now to read your entry below....

We all know the pain you suffer, LOL. Oh, how it sucks! Only a few more weeks of this 2500 character crap . . . so hang in there, Robbie.
