Mother Nature

We just had an earthquake! Oh how I hate them. It's been a while since I felt one. You grow comfortable and forget about the possibilities. No two ever are quite the same either. This was a gradual roll that lasted maybe twenty seconds. A short time, but while it is happening, it feels too long. I sat and listened, waiting to see if it would get worse. I thought about the bookcases to the left of my bed that I just moved in here to my bedroom. While I was placing them I thought that I should ancor them to the wall since they are so close to my bed. A bad earthquake could topple them on me if I were laying in bed at the time. I haven't done it yet. I think a trip to Home Depot is in store for me today.
