Days Like Today

Ever have one of those days?  You feel like the world is throwing its best punches. You dance like a butterfly, sting like a bee. You've ducked a low blow and feel like everything is in your corner.

Then.....it all comes crashing down.  Nothing different, or worse has occurred. It's unexplainable. Maybe a word, a look, a negative thought that seeps into your conscience, lyrics from a song on the radio, something just makes it all feel crappy- the day, your week, your life.

::::SIGH::::

Today, was one of those days.  Here's hoping the clouds clear tomorrow.  Damn, I hate days like today.

ONLY EVERY OTHER FREAKIN' DAY.
I hope tomorrow is better.

It's like the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." It just takes that one more iota of crap to make it just too heavy to bear.  Try and sweep it up and start fresh tomorrow.  That's about all you can do.  {{{{{Robbie}}}}}  Lisa  :-]

I'm so sorry robbie, I get these days too.  it starts off good, then all of a sudden I can feel something grey creeping in from somewhere....like the clouds in the picture (great picture) and I feel like I can't stop it, I just wait for it to pass.
I have to remark on the quote "Dance like a butterfly, sting like bee"  for no good reason that quote came to my mind today....strange.

Well, I am hoping the clouds clear soon.
hugs.

Throw your cares out the convertible roof on the way home from work.

Shake it off - Muhhamed Ali's quote should help you in this area, "floating like a butterfly, stinging like a bee," just watch out for the ghost of Howard Cosell!

Like Stu Smalley (SNL) used to say - "You're good enough, you're smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like you!"

I hope it gets better very soon.

Aw, Robbie Girl! Yep, I've had those days, too. (I love what you did with this photo. I can see why it was cathartic to do it. It's mesmerizing.)

You're supposed to get chocolate today, little girl.

"That's life," as Frankie would say, or sing. "Don't worry" because you've got "Tomorrow, Tomorrow!" waiting. rich

I just had a really crappy day too..I came home early. I really wanted to go get  medieval  on one of my customers, instead I tried to chew out the driver then I thought maybe the customer was lying (what????Customers lie!!!) So I just came home and realized I need a vacation.

Not only do I have them...you even witnessed one of 'em.  Ugh.  I'm with Andi, go get chocolate.  And none of that nasty semi-sweet stuff, either.  Get the silky milk chocolate that gets goo all over your hands.

So sorry you're having one of those days. I think we all can relate but when you're having it, you're in it alone until a smile, a word......something brings you back.

Here's where I fall down, Robbie.

How aboout when the world doesn't fall in on you, and you still feel like it has?

Those are the days I hate.

Here's to hoping your days brighten up very soon. And by the way, I really hope you had a great time with the rest of the gals. I think the friendships you have built here are wonderful, and I'm envious that you could meet some of them. Bravo to Freee for that first tea invite.

Smell ya later...

Ummm... yeah, I know those days.  Had more than a few of them myself lately.  Hope you're able to pick yourself up and brush yourself off again soon.  From what I've been reading, you've had a pretty big month.  Lots going on.  Maybe all you need is some quiet.  :(

Everyone has those days....but why do we always feel like it only happens to us?  Hang in there and feel better soon! -Kari
