Let there be light

My presence in J-Land has been very minimal this week. I have been working like a dog and getting home at 8 or 9 every night. I intended on working a couple of hours this weekend too but I just don't have it in me. I was exhausted yesterday. I did nothing but sleep, eat, watch TV, read and just plain veg. Except for a short time yesterday morning, I didn't even have the energy to be on my computer.

I feel so-so-so much better today. I think this picture aptly captures my new found zeal. Now, let's see how quickly it escapes me as the week progresses. I will be continuing to work late, at least for the coming week, if not for the rest of the month. I feel a pinch of guilt for not going in to work today but I have tons to do around my apartment and errands to run that I neglected doing yesterday. I also need to write my entry for the Journal Land Novel. There's not that many writers this go-round, so it wouldn't be fair to pass. Anyone else want to join? It might not be too late. Send Lori an email.

There are entries galore that I want to make here. Now, to see if any of them make it. I've got another WWMD waiting in the wings. No pun intended. A couple - three or four - pimping entries that I'd like to do. Although, my last turned out to be a dismal failure.  I have a confluence picture planned that I think will make my drawings of Remo for his vacation blog, pale by comparison. I'm still working on the video entry too but my computer is not cooperating. It keeps shutting down every time I view videos. Microsoft tells me it's a driver problem. Thanks, like that really helps me. Oh, and I hopefully will not miss the window of opportunity for what I hope to be the practical jokes of all practical jokes. Let's just hope this journaler has a sense of humor, or I might be in a wee-bit of hot water. I might just have to do that entry later today. I love a good laugh. Speaking of laughs, I've updated my "Weekly" entry picks. You should check out Pauly's Telemarketing one. It left me in tears.

Last but not least, I've decided to cut my hair. I need to do it by the 10th though if I want the haircut to be free. You see, I decided to push my motivation some by donating my hair to a charity called Locks of Love. I started growing my hair out about 5 years ago. I find it easier to just wash and pull it back in some manner then to have to style it every day for work. However, it has gotten so long that it has become cumbersome just to do that. I find myself dreading the act of washing my hair, which I have to do on a daily basis, except for days like yesterday where I stay home, but now today I dread the fight I will have getting the tangles out. It's too long! It goes well below my waste now when it is wet. I just haven't decided how short I want to go. At a minimum, I need to take off 10 inches for the donation but I could take off 20 probably and still only have it cut to shoulder length. If I have time, I may post pics here so everyone can help me decide. Keyword being "If." Well, enough of my rambling, time for me to wash my nappy head and get busy.

Great idea.  I have a few friends who've donated their hair to Locks of Love.  Wonderful Robbie.  I can just see you in shoulder-length hair.  This is exciting.  Lots of energy is held in hair.  5 years - long time.  I keep getting a driver error notice on my new computer too.  Something to do with this version of Windows XP.  Apparently we have to PURCHASE the appropriate 'thing'.  [i'm not geek enough to know the correct terminology ... yet.]  Maybe we can try to figure it out together???

That donation is a wonderful thing to do. How sweet of you.
I undertstand doing hair is a pain. I hate it. I'm not good at it at all.
I hope you got all of your errands done and have time to rest up before another hectic week too.
God bless,
Angela

You work too hard, Robbie!  But, then, I did, too, when I was your age.  (Sooooo long ago, LOL!)  I think you will look great with shoulder-length hair.  Hope you have a good and somewhat restful week.  Lisa  :-]

I can't believe how many hours you work, you must be exhausted! At least now you're home and can rest a little bit...I would be in bed all weekend if I were you!

Oh yea, that picture does scream "ZEAL" good luck holding on to it.
I missed your last pimp entry but it's effects were felt community wide, yikes!
OMG is that your drawing of Remo, it's the funniest thing I've seen lately and probably more appropriate today than ever before LOL, BTW I just adore Albert.
Great idea about donating your lovely locks, what a good cause.
Get some rest and try to let go of some of the guilt, you can only do as much as you can do and that's it.

I'm so glad you're feeling better today.  Locks of Love is such a good cause. Part of me wishes I'd held out for awhile longer. I only had seven to spare.

Locks of Love.........what a wonderful organization.  They provided my cousin (who has cancer and brain tumors) with a wig.  It made her happy for a little while.  Looking forward to the pics and hoping time slows down for you just a bit

My son had leukemia and many of the girls got wigs which boosted their self esteem so much. What a great thing to do. I applaud you! My "adopted" cyber daughter just made a donation. That was a gift to me.

Let the jokes begin. We all love a good laugh. It's what keeps me going. (Make me cute, okay? And an hourglass figure would be nice.)

Locks of love! Great cause!  I remember pimping them last year during my Pounds for a Cause entries and Nadine even donated her hair recently in honor of those pounds I never lost.  LOL  [In case she ever reads this: Sorry, Nadine!  I'm still working on it  :D]

I love the way you describe your day - I'm really in need of one of those new-found zeal days.  Enjoy it while it lasts, girl!  :)

Ahh, I was wondering why I was getting a couple of hits on ScreamReamer's blog.

That's so neat that you donated your hair to the Locks for Love group!!!!!!!  Beautiful hair, and it will be put to such a great use now.  Good for you, Robbie.
