Quiet Place - A Poem

I am in my quiet place.
My soul can finally rest.
Undescribable tranquility.
Thoughts escape me.
Yet touch me like a dream.
Remain listless.
Languish in my inertia.
A sedation no drug can bring.
Guilt lies deep within.
There is much to be done.
I'll lie here a moment longer.
For tomorrow will surely come
.

Beautiful image. Beautiful words. I've read it half a dozen times. I get something new each time. Again, beautiful. xo

Wow.. I don't know what I can say to add to these other comments. Beautiful, inspiring, touching... very REAL. I also feel guilty when there's much to be done. ::sigh:: Great poem, great image... good stuff. Thanks so much for sharing it. [Not a writer, huh?? ::smirk:: lol]

Thought provoking, beautiful prose. This graphic is quite unusual. It looks like a drawing in sand with computer imaging overlay. Very nice. ¤Holly

This is a short poem but I can feel your restlessness and the sense of guilt for taking the time to rest. But you're right tomorrow will come soon enough, let it take care of itself. Just wallow in the here and the now. =P

Wow, Robbie...The image, the poem..leaves me speechless. Very calm, and intense at the same time. Beautiful.

MIA: Thanks! Intense? Wow! Very interesting that it would evoke that emotion.

MUSE: Wallowing I was. Sometimes, ya just have to but there’s this deep sense of guilt that I should be doing all the other things I know need to be done. But for once, the sense of peace was so much stronger than the guilt.

TXSGUINAN: From some with your talents, that is quite the compliment. Thank you!

KAREN: When I read this, I was stunned. I felt like you really got what I was trying to express. I was feeling so very peaceful.

HOLLY: Without giving away my secrets, it’s definitely computer enhanced. ;-) I’ve had some fun lately messing around with pics on the computer and creating different things.

SLO: Thanks! Definitely not a writer in the professional sense. All for fun here. :-)

BRIDGETT: Car is doing well so far. :::knocking on wood::::

LANNY: Thanks! Hugs are always welcome around here. :-)

RC: You write so eloquently! So, coming from you that’s a great complement!

VINCE: Perfect??? ::::blushing::: :::kicking the ground::: Gee thanks man!
BABY: Thank you! Coming from you it’s a great compliment.

FREE: Thanks! I was in a creative mood. It doesn’t happen often. I just felt the need to express myself in a way that I couldn’t express normally.
