Ahhhhh

I got off early today. It feels so good. I am going in on Saturday to take care of some catch ups but until then I'm free free free. Yeah. It feels so good. After I am done here I am going to take a nap. Ahhhhh.

But, that will be the extent of my mini-vacation. I've got way too much to do. I have decided not to "celebrate" Thanksgiving this year. I know it sounds pathetic but between school, work, and moving; there's just too much to do. I'm going to pretend tomorrow is like any other day. Get up early and meet with my Business Stategies Group to see how we can pull our Footwear Company out of the hole. Then I'm going to come home and write my paper for my communications class and clean and begin packing. I'm sure I'll pop in here a time or two.

But, don't feel sorry for me. I'm okay. I decided on my way home from work today that I'll do something extra special next year to make up for this year. And, last year was a pretty great Turkey Day so if I miss this year, it ain't so bad. I was thinking I'll go visit my brother, Chris, in Illinois next year. I've never been to his place. It would be great to finally go. Wow, I just realized the last time I went to Illinois was when Chris got married. It's been awhile. It's the last time I saw my Dad too. So, it must be like 17 years. Wow. Definitely, that's what I'll do.

The only bummer is that I won't be making dinner. I haven't been cooking much, okay, not at all, since this semester started. I really like cooking and making wonderfully scrumptious things. I love to bake. My rugelach is to die for. And, my pumpkin pie~well it's absolutely incredible. I think I'll share the recipe here. You really should try it. I found this recipe in The Pennsylvania State Grange Cookbook. It's called Colonial Pumpkin Pie. It's not like the Condensed Milk recipe. It's light and airy like a souffle. And, since it's so delish, a store-bought shell won't do. You must - you must make homemade crust too. Go to entry above for recipes.
