Tiny Dancer

Someone at work made the incredible discovery that Jerry's Deli delivers their baked goods too when we place our lunch order. It's a good thing because it makes for a whimsical moment in an otherwise monotonous day. The other office drones thought I had finally lost it when I began taking pictures of my tiny dancers. Ha! Little do they know I have an alter ego. Pirouette anyone?

The fallout over at AOL has me spinning in circles. If I lose track of anyone, I'm sorry but people are saying things like "well here I am for now." For now? WTF? I can't chase people all over the internet. I understand people are traumatized by this but that's when you need to stop, breath, and not make any decisions in haste.

If anyone has any questions about what I have done here, feel free to ask. Helping each other is how the community started at AOL. People were fiddling with the options and helping each other out in the process. I'm definitely no expert. I've had this site for some time now but I've only been knocking around learning it as I go. There's still a lot I'd like to do here but decided to quit messing with the template for a while until I get the rest of my entries from AOHell transferred over.

I know what you mean about the "for now." I've just deleted a lot of now "private" AOL photojournals from my blogroll, which is public on my photoblog and have added a number of AOL exiles on Blogger blogs that I hope I won't have to remove in a few months because folks drop them to return to blogging on AOL.

I've also offered my own Blogger knowledge to folks. I've been here more than a year and a half now and have learned a lot.

My new photoblog is at: http://shellysphotos.blogspot.com

And I like what you've done here so far. :)

I love the photograph.... and can you believe how the neighborhood is growing? I like it here.

I am here period. I just have to figure out how to back up my old journal. As soon as I do that, I'm deleting it.

Ack! What do I Say? I still detect a lot of acrimonty floating around in the ether, though people are running around saying, "I respect your choice to leave. I respect your choice to stay." I think eventually we all WILL respect each other's choices and make nice again...but, most of us being women, there is a little too much estrogen flying around (even for those of us whose supply thereof is swiftly depleting...LOL!) for us to be completely rational about all of this right away. We're getting there, though...

I really cracked the books on Blogger this afternoon. I made some progress, but it was so tedious.

Blogger tags and what they do plus my CSS is rusty. All the the little details AOL Jounrals took care of. I'm figuring things out slowly.

Messing with the Blogger template has been sort of fun. For one who always thought the AOL journal was too simple/unflexible, I'm looking forward to tinkering one of these days.

As for the 'for now...' folks, I'm astounded that there are still some who believe that AOL might ever make any changes to those ads. I don't mind tilting at an occasional windmill, but there is a point at which you just walk away. For me, that point was when Joe wrote that AOL had no plans to change the ads. Seems pretty cut & dried to me.

Happy Birthday Tiny Dancer.

Looking great in here. I'll continue to pick your brain. This stuff is fun (and frustrating).

Okay, running out the door....

I did the "for now" route too, creating without destroying. Just in case. But I'm feeling nicely at home here. It's always scary to move, but moving with my best friends makes it a whole lot easier.

And a little Freeebird said it was your BARKDAY!!!

Happy Birthday! Um...I gotta get one of those cool Flickr thingies. I need a new counter too. Thank heavens for BlogLines...they are generating my blog links for me. Mucking about with this template can be a pain!

Robbie....

I am at my "secret" blogspot blog for good now....

(the one YOU FOUND a few weeks before the ad thing happened)

I have copied my whole journey and am almost done with my poetry journal....then if they delete them so be it.

How do I do the fancy stuff in comments? You are a comment goddess. LOL

Happy Birthday! See, I read all the comments - :) Great pic, too, and I love that song. I agree with what you've said here, and that's why I did an entry saying I'd help anyone with links, including sending them my list which I constantly update. Feel free to pass that on, btw, if you encounter anyone who'd like a copy.

Have a great b'day.
